Who is responsible for your data

Mauricio Zúñiga Cuéllar, Tax ID (NIT) 94.060.281-1, Calle 3D # 66 - 47, Cali, Colombia. Contact: livetranslate@kaistrategylab.com.

The most important thing: your audio is not stored

The audio of your conversations is processed in real time solely to generate the translation and is NOT stored on our servers: neither the original audio, nor the translated audio, nor the transcriptions. When the session ends, that content ceases to exist on our platform.

The only thing recorded is usage metadata: date, mode (Individual, Conversation or Conference), languages used, duration and credit consumption — necessary for your history and your billing.

Account holder data

When you register we process: name, email, password (stored with an irreversible hash) and service usage data (sessions, consumption, purchase orders). Purpose: to provide the service, offer support, process payments and communicate relevant changes.

Invited participants (no account)

Those who join a room or listen to a conference via QR code do not need an account and are not asked for any personal data. Their audio (in Conversation rooms) is processed in real time under the same rules: with no storage.

Providers and international transfers

To operate, we use providers that process data on our behalf and may be located outside Colombia: OpenAI (real-time processing of the audio to generate the translation), infrastructure providers (server hosting) and dLocal Go, a product of the company dLocal (payment processing — card data is handled by the gateway; it never reaches our servers).

Sending emails

To send you emails we use the external provider Resend, to which we hand over your email address and the content of the message. Today only one email goes out: the password recovery one, which carries a single-use link. We do not hand over the audio of your sessions or your translations — by then they no longer exist. Resend processes that data under its own terms and may be located outside Colombia.

Cookies

We use a single first-party cookie, strictly necessary, to keep your session signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Your rights (Habeas Data)

You may access, update, rectify and delete your data, and revoke your authorization, by writing to livetranslate@kaistrategylab.com from your account email. Deleting the account erases its operational data, except for records that the law requires us to keep (for example, billing supporting documents).

You may also ask us for proof of the authorization you gave us when you created your account, and file a complaint with Colombia's Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC) if you believe we have failed to comply with the habeas data law. Write to us first: almost everything gets resolved there, and the law also asks you to exhaust that claim with us before going to the SIC (art. 16 of Law 1581). It is not a condition we impose: it is the step the SIC expects to find already taken.

By writing to livetranslate@kaistrategylab.com from your account email, you can ask us to tell you what use we have made of your data, and access it by asking us for a copy. We do not charge for handling these requests.

Security

We apply reasonable measures: encryption in transit (TLS), passwords with a resistant hash (scrypt), per-account isolation, daily backups of operational data and server access controls.

Governing law

This policy is governed by Law 1581 of 2012 and other Colombian personal data protection regulations.
