Kai Live Translate (https://livetranslate.kaistrategylab.com) is a pay-as-you-go real-time voice translation service (prepaid credits and passes), operated by Mauricio Zúñiga Cuéllar, Tax ID (NIT) 94.060.281-1. By creating an account you accept these terms.
Registration is free and requires a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the activity carried out with your account. Participants invited via QR code (to a room or as listeners of a conference) do not need an account; consumption is charged to the account of whoever creates the session.
Translation is generated by artificial intelligence models in real time and may contain errors, omissions or inaccuracies. The service is not a substitute for a professional interpreter and must not be used as the sole source in contexts where a translation error could cause harm: legal, critical medical, safety or diplomatic matters. You are responsible for assessing whether the service is suitable for your use case.
You agree to use the service in accordance with the law. In particular: (a) you are responsible for obtaining the consent of the persons whose voice is captured through your device, where applicable regulations so require; (b) you may not use the service for unlawful activities, to harass, or to infringe the rights of third parties; (c) you may not resell the service or access it by unauthorized automated means.
Breach of this section allows for the immediate suspension of the account, without refund of unused credits or passes.
Consumption is measured in credits according to the per-mode rates published on the packages page (livetranslate.kaistrategylab.com/planes): each mode consumes a number of credits per minute and, in Conference mode, per active language according to the scale of the event. Purchased credits do not expire while the account is active. Welcome credits (a sign-up gift) expire after 14 days if the account has not made any purchases or received any top-ups.
Event passes are indivisible blocks: each pass covers one language for 70 minutes in an event of its scale's capacity. A pass that has been started is deemed fully consumed, even if the event ends earlier; passes that have not been started remain available in the account.
Credits and passes have no monetary value outside the service, are not redeemable for money (except as provided in the Refund policy) and are not transferable between accounts.
Prices are published in United States dollars (USD) on the packages page and may be updated; the applicable price is the one in effect at the time of purchase. Payments are processed through the dLocal Go gateway, a product of the company dLocal (hosted checkout): we do not store card data. Credits and passes are credited automatically once the payment is confirmed.
The service is provided "as is", with reasonable efforts toward availability. It depends on external providers (translation models, infrastructure, payment gateway) whose outages may affect the service. We may update features, rates and these terms; substantial changes will be announced on the website or by email.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the provider's total liability toward a customer is limited to the amount actually paid by that customer in the three months prior to the event giving rise to it. We are not liable for indirect damages or for decisions made on the basis of translations generated by the service.
These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia and any dispute shall be resolved before the Colombian courts.
If you are contracting as a consumer from another country, the above does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory rules of your country of residence: you keep the rights those rules grant you that cannot be excluded by agreement.
